  • Leads a team of 11 engineers in building robots that use smartphones as their brains. Romotive creates simple robotic platforms that allow users to take control of robots anywhere in the world.
  • Raised $1.5M in venture funding from Stanford University, Tony Hsieh, Lerer Ventures, PivotNorth Capital, David Cohen, and other angels.

• JobSpice San Francisco, CA

  2009 – Present

  Founder
  • Built business model for JobSpice, a web app that helps users create resumes and build online professional profiles. Team received funding from a prominent Silicon Valley incubator.
  • Grew business organically to 30,000 users and signed contracts with major universities to provide JobSpice to over 600,000 college students in the fall of 2010.

• Harvard Climbing Wall Cambridge, MA

  2006 – 2009

  Executive Director and Founder
  • Directed four managers and twenty-three staff members to organize day-to-day operations of the wall, which generated gross revenue of over $18,000 and saw 7,000 visitors in 2009. Led a community of over 500 paying members.
  • Raised $48,000 from Harvard alumni and student clubs. Worked with Harvard University administration to compile alumni databases, meet with sponsors, and plan construction.

• Boston Consulting Group San Francisco, CA

  • Conducted in-depth financial analysis of 140 competitors in the engineering construction industry and co-wrote new international strategy for a US company with $8B in revenue.
  • Designed quantitative cross-account tracking processes on a project designed to improve the ways that sales account teams interact with their customers for one of the largest hard drive manufacturers in the world.

• FAS Center for Systems Biology Cambridge, MA

  2006 – 2008

  Researcher
  • Built molecular automata in tissue cells: Worked 25 hours per week with professors and post-docs to create RNA “computers” that can be inserted into DNA plasmids and transfected into living cells.
  • First Author on published paper in Nature Biotechnology: “A universal RNAi-based logic evaluator that operates in mammalian cells. Rinaudo et al. 2006.”
